TARGET: Joan of Arc

A student came in yesterday with this question:  He had heard from
someone that Joan of Arc had an extra Y chromosome and asked if we
could confirm or deny it.  We search the encyclopedias, genetics texts,
biographical material on Joan and the WWW without success.  Have any of
you heard of this???

My question is how would anyone know, since she was burned there is no
physical evidence (a body) to check anyway?
