Book: Internet for Library Media Specialists

In the spirit of a New Year's gift to y'all...

I'd like to recommend the outstanding Linworth publication which I have
used many times since its publication this year...Carol Mann Simpson's
book INTERNET FOR LIBRARY MEDIA SPECIALISTS is easy to use and perfect
for teaching staff and kids to use the Internet.  There's the standard
fare...what is the Internet and tools...but my favorite part is
"Introducing the Internet to Faculty and Staff," "Uses of the Internet in
School Libraries," and "Uses of the Internet in Specific Content Areas."
Carol's done a great job of selecting solid, useful sources and obviously
has done a lot of teaching and inservice.  I like how she does not assume
that all schools have graphical interfaces...yet!
