holiday reading

I just finished _Stitches in Time_ by Barbara Michaels.  It deals with a myster
y surrounding an antique quilt---I love mysteries and I quilt.  One of my 5th g
raders assured me that _The Lost World_ was better than _Jurassic Park_ and he
certainly was correct!  My daughter and I are reading _Dorothy Return to Oz_ by
Tedrow; it would make a great read-aloud because each chapter ends on a high po
int.  We are enjoying it!
