Time to stir up some more trouble. It's the time of year for standardized testing, & I'm being told by our reading specialist that the TAP test (put out by the folks that do the ITBS) STILL tests the PRINT version of Readers' Guide and the card catalog. Now, my guess is that if you're reading this, you're probably on your way to being automated. We do need to consider that not all of our libraries are, but in the sample test materials she's given me, I see questions geared SPECIFICALLY to the print versions of these resources, that might confuse a kid familiar with only the computer versions. Do we need to throw our collective weight behind a request to the test publishers that they at least word the questions so that our kids aren't at a disadvantage?
