Fellow 'Netters, I will be presenting a 45 minute session at the state Texas Computer Education Association State conference next week titled "Teaching Information Age Research Skills Using CD-ROM Technology" - I will be discussing the use of Groliers MME and SIRS as tools to facilitate the teaching of keyword searching, boolean operators, proximity searching, and truncation. If you use these programs, or any other CD-ROMS for the same purpose, I would love to hear from you and include your ideas/methods in the presentation (naturally you will be given due credit:) ) I will also be discussing how the use of thse programs (especially SIRS) helps students develop Critical Thinking Skills- if you agree, or disagree, I would appreciate any thought you have on this topic as well. I love LM-NET! Lynne **************************************************** * Lynne J. Webb Monsignor Kelly High School * * Librarian 5950 Kelly Drive * * Msgr. Kelly H.S.
