Thanks so much to the many lm_netters who sent answers to my question
about the video.  I sent the question on Friday afternoon before I left
school, and on Monday morning several responses were here!  What a nice
group!  The video I was looking for is actually a 5 part series.  It is
available from Films for the Humanities & Sciences.  Their address is

and the fax # is 609-275-3767.  The five titles are:
   Giant Brains
   Inventing the Future
   The Paperback Computer
   The Thinking Machine
   The World at Your Fingertips
Each video (58 min.) may be purchased for $89.95, or the entire series
may be purchased for $425.00.

The Connections series was also mentioned.  It seems that one of the videos
in the series may have been called The Day the Universe Changed.  Someone
else was looking for this series earlier, but I do not recall seeing an
answer about where to purchase it.  I did not see it listed in the
current PBS catalog, and have not had time to call them.
