On March 1, students and teachers at Blumfield Elementary School in Ralston, Nebraska (adjacent to Omaha) will become connected to the Internet. The students helped to raise money for the phone lines, modem, computer, etc. by contributing pennies. Their goal was to raise a mile of pennies (approximately $887) for the Information Superhighway. They brought in over $1,000 with help from teachers and parents. The principal got his head shaved as promised, when they reached their goal. Businesses and our local foundation also contributed. If you are someone who (like me) doesn't mind sending greetings, it would mean a lot to us to be able post messages from all over welcoming them to the Internet. Thanks in advance.
