Rainforest ABC book

Our children's Librarian at the Public Library had one of our parents come
in  and ask about an alphabet book using the rainforest as its basis.  It
was written by a student.  I sort of remember an article in the Boston
Globe about such a book, but when we checked...we did not find anything.
Does this sound familiar to anyone?
