I'm writing this in behalf of the librarian at our local elementary school. She teaches 33 classes during a six-day cycle (the district will not allow her to go to flexible scheduling). She has a clerical aide, but is already working long hours just to keep up with her teaching load. She has wanted to automate for years, the district has finally agreed, but wants it done in 6 months (on Mandarin). She needs data to convince the administrator that she needs help or time to get her shelf list ready for conversion. She's looking for a timetable for conversion, or a list of chores (professional and clerical) and estimates of time required to perform these conversion tasks.
