I realize that this subject has been discussed enough already, but our
high school is now investigating this plan for the 1996-1997 school
year. Our faculty is adament about hearing from larger schools - 1000
students or more -, which have implemented the Block 8.

All of the schools in our area, which currently have Block 8 or are
considering it, are small, and we feel that their reasons for employing
this schedule are quite different that those of a larger school.

We are a 9-12 facility, which is growing in student population, but not
in space. 6 years ago, our student population was 650; it is now 1000.
We expect add an additional 100 students per year for the next 5 years.
A change as dramatic as Block 8, would definitely have an impact, but
what kind of an impact.

If you are at a high school with a student population over 1000, which
is currently using the Block 8 schedule, please e-mail me personally.
We are interested in advantages and disadvantages at this point.
Further communication may be necessary, if you do not mind.

Thank you.
