Paper and book binding glue may scorch in a microwave. Use caution. Also, watch for tattle tapes with metal in them. Some book vendors use these strips to control warehouse theft, so even if you do not have a security system of you own... I read where WET books may be saved by freeze drying them. (freeze drying, not freezing). I wonder if this would work to kill mold, at least it might halt the spread.
