I faced the same problem as Cathy Cheely -- cards in my catalog from
multiplke vendors with all sorts of strange cataloging.  It has taken years
to straighten it out so that now I am ready to automate with good records.
We in the Northwest are very fortunate to he the WLN bibliographic utility.
Their cdrom product LASERCAT, as well as their online service has keyword
searchability and the capability for global change of subject headings,
name authorities, etc.  Their number is 1-800-DIALWLN.
