It isn't elegant, but our collection of materials about countries would
fill the entire Vertical File - if we were to empty it out.  I have made
a portable file from plastic crates from the office supply store.  The
bottom two have wheels, two more are stacked on each rolling crate.
Besides its Culturgram, a country's foulder typically includes Background
Notes (from the US Dept. of State), tourist pamplets, newspaper
clippings, maps (sometimes a weekly World Newsmap), souvenirs brought
back by parents/students,etc.  Any of these materials can be borrowed in
a large ziplock bag with a temporary barcode on it. Student response is
very positive.
