? Foreign language for K-5

Another media specialist in the district called me this afternoon asking
me to post this to you guys.  She is on a grant-proposal writing
committee.  They are looking for just a line or few lines that deal with
K-5 students being at a great age to facilitate foreign language teaching.

If you know of some research and can direct her to it, I know (from the
sound of her voice today) that she would be very grateful.
