In Adventuring with Books, published by NCTE there are a few pages of titles
set in WWII. Also, you could write to California State Dept of Ed. They
published an entire annotated book of titles, K-12, that may be used with any
period of history, as part of their literature-based initiative for social
studies. I think it costs a couple of dollars but well worth it.
