Dear Crystal (that's my grandmother's name, too, by the way, same spelling),

Robert O'Brien's _The Silver Crown_ is one of my favorite, and least
well-known, fantasy books for this age. It has a strong female protagonist
and has just the right blend of warmth and chill for a fantasy novel.
