I'm resonding really to Claire(Simpson)--I agree-- kids have "fought" me
on every folktale or story that I prsented amore balanced story
of(whoah--bad English!)Children actually don't want us to "corrupt"
Disney--it is efinitely weird-- they constantly ask me for the "real"
version. However,even prior to Disney, I'm not sure that "Pokey the
child" was ever part of the story--somehow, the version that I got in
schools in the fifties was somehow very similiar to
Disney--no not "Babe garb" but a love story. I personally never liked
Disney, and of course, in my house this didn't definite stories--but yes,
Disney did this for cash,but wasn't this
"version" around before??
