I am forwarding this for a fellow librarian who will be taking an internet course in August, but needs this information ASAP. Her question is: In our district we have some books that overlap between elementary and junior high. We are trying to alleviate that problem by offering other literature comparable to the theme of the book. The titles are: If you traveled west in a covered wagon Taste of blackberries Roll of thunder, hear my cry Sign of the beaver Be a perfect person in 3 days. The reading level of the books that are comparable should be between 3.5 and 7.2 approximately. You can reply directly to her at dallen@dpi1.k12.state.de.us or reply to me and I will forward the answers. TIA. Janet Dean jdean@udel.edu Library Media Specialist (or) Richardson Park Elem.
