Subject: THE GRIM RIPPER STRIKES AGAIN

Hi Gloria,
This is the fastest I could think of to do this letter. Am
exhausted and would rather be in bed now. This better do. Think it should
be sufficient for LM_NET. Were you doing also CSLA? How about the
listserv for reference librarians, do you subscribe to it? Elaine Seepish
does, could you send her a copy if you have her address?

Cheers,
Michelle

>Seems we are going through another round of library cuts. Last year, we heard

>All the library personnel of Manitoba are being hit because of the
>cancellation of the position of School LIbrary Curriculum Specialist, held by

>..." Manitoba Education has had tremendous input in the area of information
>literacy from the office of the School Library Curriculum Specialist. During

>This continuum, developed by a curriculum project team headed by the School

>- provides consultation with superintendents, principals and

>- provides in-service and workshop training for teachers and
>teacher-librarians in information literacy skills and resource-based learning
>- reviews school library building plans and advises planning committees and

>- has published (and won a 1994 national award for) School Library News, a
