REF: SEC: automobiles

        I have two young men who want to do research papers on their
favorite older cars, specifically the '78 Monte Carlo and older Volkswagons.
Can any of you car buffs tell us if there are any sources on the Internet
where we could find information (of any kind) about these cars. These are
the two specific makes I need this time, but this type of question comes
up frequently here, so I would also appreciate any general sources on
cars of all makes. My students aren't on-line yet, so reply to me at the
