Well...there's the scoop! You can feel free to email me, of course,
if I can assist you in any way in deciding what to do & how to do
it. The window is small though: they said applications had to be
in by about May 8 (I think: they posted it April 27 & said there
were 10 days to get apps. in). If someone is seriously interested
pls. email me & I will confirm exact date after I go back to work
tomorrow.

Our 5 elementary librarians, middle school librarian, and high school
librarian are relieved that this position WILL be filled, as budgets
made the whole position in question for a while. Please apply, as
your interest will show how important this position is! There are
also various elementary classroom openings (for those of you with an
elementary teachers as a spouse). The number to call to inquire
about those is 317-773-3171...ask for Mr. David Wallace, Director
of Elementary Ed. Also some H.S. openings, and the gentleman
mentioned at the top of this letter, Dr. Costello, is the one to
call. Or principal Jack Ford at 317-773-4680.

NOblesville: 15,000 people; 45 min. from center of Indy; Hamilton
County is richest county in Indiana, so teachers are well paid,
there seems to occasionally be enough money to buy stuff for the
kids! (We average about $25.00 per student for print & non-print
mterials, and approx. another $25.00 per student for hardware).
I think that has increased however now that most buildings have
comp. labs, etc. Elem. have about 500 to 600 in ea. school; middle
school about 1300; high school about 1500. All elem. media
centers are either new or just renovated. Middle school & high
school will be renovated soon, as new $64,000,000.00 high school
will open in Aug. '96 with a real "Taj Mahal" for a media center!
Middle school building will become a grade 5-6 bldg.; present
h.s. will become the gr. 7-8 middle school.

As I said, feel free to email me if I've left anything out.
