GEN: Challenge of "The Stand"

I just received a complaint by a parent of the Stephen King book, "The
Stand".  The book will be reviewed by a committee and action will be
taken.  Can any of you wonderful lm_netters, provide any reviews,
personal or professional opinions of this book?  Has it been challenged
anywhere else.  I would greatly appreciate any and all responses.  Thanks
