Block scheduling 5-6 grade

This is my first question on the net.  I've lurked for a few months.  We
have an ass't superintendent who needs persuading that block scheduling
is the way to go for 5th and 6th grade.  If you have experiences, info
that will help our argument, please reply directly to me. TIA!!
