Elem: ?Pre-Teen America

Has anyone received mail from Pre-Teen America
stating that your daughter has been selected for
 competition in a contest based on academic
achievement? ("This is *not* a beauty contest")?
Supposedly she was selected out of the top 10% in
the state (N.H. in this case), but the schools know
 nothing about this. If she gets into,the finals
there is a
$275 fee! The Regional Headquarters is in Louisiana.
Can anyone tell us if this is legitimate?
