Job opening for LIBRARIAN INSTRUCTIONAL & REFERENCE. This librarian plans and
coordinates the Library's instructional program and reference services.  In
consultation with other Librarians, this person is responsible for developing
teaching and learning objectives in information access and the use of library
resources; providing course-related instruction; preparing hand-outs and
research guides; developing outreach programs to teachers and students and
serving as Reference Librarian.  Also responsible for collection development
in specified field.
 
Must have experience in library instruction using print materials and
electronic resources, computer skills, experience with on-line catalogs and
automated library systems, and interest in library of the future.  Must have
leadership capabilities, appreciation for adolescent students, energy,
flexibility, ability to work with others.
 
Advanced degree in Library Science (MLS) required.
