interdisciplinary topics - literature and science

I am a librarian in a high school that requires students grades 9-12 to
write research papers in science, literature, and English classes. This is
the first year that we are trying an interdisciplinary approach to research
papers. As a librarian, I am to come up with topic suggestions for
literature and science and then literature and history. Does anyone have
any topic suggestions or resources for us to check. Thank you, Jacky
