Crossword Tournament

     Grolier Electronic Publishing is pleased to announce that it is
     holding an international crossword puzzle tournament on its Web site
     (http://www.grolier.com). All questions for the tournament will be
     drawn from the Encyclopedia Americana CD-ROM. The contest began on
     November 8, 1995, and will run until January 10, 1996. There will be a
     total of 10 puzzles that will change each Wednesday. [delete this
     section: Scores of registered participants will be tabulated from
     week-to-week.] The Encyclopedia Americana CD-ROM will be awarded to
     registered participants who score the highest in two categories:
     individual and institutional. The institutional winner will receive
     either a stand-alone or a network version, depending on the preference
     of the winner, and will be announced at the American Library
     Association's midwinter meeting to be held in San Antonio, Texas, on
     January 23, 1996. The announcement will be made at the Grolier
     Educational Corporation's booths, numbers 322/323. Individual winners
     will be selected from each of the following regions: Africa, Asia,
     Australia, Europe, North America and South America. Individual winners
     will receive the stand-alone version and be notified via E-mail at the
     conclusion of the contest.
