HIT-->Calendar of events (sort of)

I was looking for something Like Chases's Calendar of events on the
Internet.  I had several requests to forward any sites that I was alerted
to.  I really only had two replies with information.  One was to use the
free little calendars given away in card shops.  The other was a site
with muliticultural dates nlu.lu.edu/ben/mcc/mcc.cgl.  This site had
holidays around the world.  What I was looking for was:  October is
national women's month, or cooking month, that type of thing (No October
is not those things to my knowlege!!!) If you know of a site like that
please let me know, and if I find something I will post the information.
In the meantime, I will go and buy Chases's or something similar.  Michele
