If you are aware of a challenge to _The witch of blackbird pond_ by
Elizabeth Speare, please respond to me with a brief description of the
challenge and the outcome. Even though this Newbery novel is well
reviewed and recommended for elementary readers, Halloween challenges are
frequently aimed at any book with "witch" in the title. The novel will be
used in an elementary classroom and will be defended if a challenge comes
our way.
