To Suzanne, Mark, and other Unison colleagues:

I have LOVED our new CCD scanner this fall!  Although I cannot address
the technical issues, I can tell you that it does work well with Unison
version 1.21 of Circ+/Cat+.

Yes, the scans are much more reliable with the CCD than the light
pen/barwand.  It is still possible to misread a barcode-either
patron or title-if the CCD scanner is held at a certain angle.
Therefore, you still need to glance at the screen to verify the transaction.

The cost is well-justified, although I believe that Follett should have
included the $50.00 stand in its original price.
