If you have an account with Dialog, it's cheaper to access through Internet than directly. If you don't, the school rates are only $18 an hour, I think. That's the last I remember. To subscribe, call 1-800-3-dialog. To get to Dialog via the internet, I'm pretty sure it's just telnet dialog.com, but you can ask them when you call. Dialog is a database service that indexes periodicals and journals in an incredible variety of fields. It's great for searching for information on term papers, but it's "old style" and only somewhat friendly - which means not very. Good luck, it's an excellent service. The problem is that I don't think that BIP is available on the school selection of databases and it would probably be very expensive the other way. I can't find my price list at the moment. Be sure to ask when you call. ntouil@gilligan.esu7.k12.ne.us Nancy Touil Howells Public Schools Media Specialist K-12, Howells, Nebraska
