Target: K-12 Assessment for Library Skills

We are being asked to asses library media skills in a direct
manner for the first time ever. Previously, the achievement
tests were all that were required. With some of the librarians
serving 800 students, this is going to be difficult. What is
being done in other schools to assess the development and
mastery of these skills? We've been told that because of
anticipated future budget cuts, we need to be able to show that
our teaching of these skills is actually causing kids to learn
something! What a concept!  TIA
