---------- Forwarded message ---------- Sorry there was an error in my address the first time I sent this message. I'd still appreciate hearing from anyone who has learned more about this. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks for your responses. I've had several requests for more information about this case and my additional research revealed this: I called the radio station that discussed the case (KVI in Seattle) and they informed me that due to technical failures they have no transcript or tapes of that particular program--therefore . . . . I called the show's hosts at their place of business and talked with either Chris Nikia (not sure of the spelling) or David Monroe (both are the hosts--I think it was David) at Best Computer (BCI) in Seattle, and was told the following: An individual had created a web page entitled, "Babes on the Web," which was a compilation of photos (and text?) of at least 30 females who had individually published their own photos on their own home pages. One or more of these women took it to court (David (?) cited his resource as the Newsbite News Network on American Online) and lost because they had been published on Internet with the consequence of becoming "public figures". I don't subscribe to American Online, so if anyone finds this source (or others), or that this is false info, I would appreciate hearing about it. It appears that in this particular case, if it's true, any assumed copyright laws have been ignored.
