PARTNERSHIP CONSULTANT - Search Extended -
The Lewis & Clark Library System is seeking to fill an executive/professional
position that is responsible for the creation and development of library
partnerships, fosters the development of school library personnel and youth
service providers in a multitype environment.  This position works with the
Executive Director and consultants to develop a strong regional and statewide
marketing program.

Necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities:  Broad knowledge of trends in
libraries, public relations, and marketing.  Ability to incorporate trends
into
goals and objectives that expand and create new programs.  Ability to field
test new ideas and promote use by constituent groups.  At least three years
of
experience.  Effective user of PCs.  Ability to evaluate situations, meet
people easily, and exercise tact, courtesy, and good judgement.  Ability to
express oneself clearly and concisely both orally and in writing. Initiative
and strong management skills are essential.

Qualifications for appointment:  Masters in Library Science from an
ALA-accredited library school.  Three years of school library/youth service
provider experience that focused on development of new programs, market
targeting, goal setting, and delivery of service.  Good communications skills
and valid driver's license are required.  Experience in both urban and rural
settings would be helpful.  Starting salary:  $32,000-$37,000 plus benefits,
dependent on qualifications and experience.  First consideration will be
