I believe Paulsen *may* discuss this on his video by Trumpet. I saw the
video last summer and it was terrific! -- but I don't remember if he
discussed this particular aspect of his life or not.

The Gary Paulsen author video is listed in the Trumpet Bonus Gifts

Fox, Steven Kellogg, & Katherine Paterson. I also saw the Fox video & it
is very good, too.
