Award-winning children's author Martin Waddell will present a FREE program for librarians, teachers, parents, and other adults interested in children's literature on Sunday, April 21 at 3:00 p.m. in Austin. Waddell is the author of more than a dozen picture books including FARMER DUCK (ALA Notable Children's Book, SLJ Best Book of the Year, Parent's Choice Award); CAN'T YOU SLEEP, LITTLE BEAR (Parent's Choice Award); and OWL BABIES (PBS Storytime Books). He has also written several books for middle grade readers and young adults. The program "You and Me: The Book as a Shared Experience" will explore ideas for using books with children. Books will be available for purchase and autographing. The program will be held at: Austin Community College, District Administrative Offices Board Room (2nd Floor) 5830 Middle Fiskville Road (east of Highland Mall, north of Greyhound) For information call 512-223-3071.
