MID: banned book/freedom to read activities needed

I know this isn't the 'season' to talk about banned books (isn't Banned Book
Week in September?), but I'd like to do something with my middle school kids
about the right to read and banned books.  Has anyone done successful
activities, maybe ones that got good discussion going?  I checked the
archives and the suggestions were about displays.  Send ideas to me and I'll
post a hit if it is wanted.
