SEC: Network Security and Students

I am trying to collect information for the business
department/Computer Science Teacher/LMC to present a case to our
network supervisor and administration supporting individual student
access to the computers.

Currently students have generic LIMITED access through the LMC - to CD-
ROM programs only and access to word processing, spreadsheet, and
graphics programs in the computer labs.

Not all computers in the school are set up to handle Internet access,
but we would like to have those that are available to the students so
they can 'surf' and have e-mail access.

If any of you have a policy in place currently and would share (even
parts of it) with us so we can make our presentation it would be
GREATLY appreciated.
