Last fall I posted a message about my first meeting with Jonathan, the
kindergartener who wanted a book about a five-gallon gas can. He is quite the
interesting kid who always knows exactly what he wants to learn about. Once
this year he came up with his cut-out of a kangaroo. He was supposed to glue
the pocket on and fill it with the pictures that started with the k sound.
Well, Jonathan wanted a male kangaroo and he was sure it didn't have a pouch,
so his understanding teacher sent him up to find out for sure that male
kangaroos didn't have pouches.

Well, now Jonathan has become intrigued with sound systems. He really would
like a book that showed diagrams of stereos, speakers, and all their components
that would show how they work and are hooked together. We looked through the
CD "The Way Things Work" and that was a little complicated. He settled for
a book on sound. I've also located a book on sound and music, but what he
really wants (I think) is diagrams that are labeled and explained. Do you
know any book or series like that? I can't imagine there would be a whole book
out there on sound systems, but anything on current technology would be great.
Thanks for your help.
