Thanks to all who replied to my question regarding using non-95 software with Windows 95 so that you can share files with another machine that is still running 3.1. I received about a dozen replies since yesterday and all agreed that it can be done. All but one said that there are no problems. The one felt that the older versions of software just don't run well on 95. One helpful hint was to remember to continue to use only eight characters when naming a file, otherwise 3.1 machines won't recognize the file.
