GEN: Readability analysis

Does anyone know of a (preferably) Macintosh program for analysizing the
reading level of text typed or (preferably) scanned in? The GAMCO company
has a very old Apple program which turned out the FRYE scale, and several
others as well, but it is pretty clunky. Is there a newer, zippier
program out there somewhere?
