Donation of Paperbacks w/cut covers

Hi,
 I have a group of helpful citizens on the lookout for books for my
library. They have come up with about a thousand paperback books with the
covers half cut off and with the stamp not for resale. I do not know
if I should try to put these books on the shelves or keep them for the
teachers library only... do any of  you have experience with these kinds
of books. They are semi current, classical, nonfictions, and a few fiction
books.
