The Boggart

The Boggart by Susan Cooper is being challenged as 5th grade core book.  The
mother has presented a 5-6 page list of why she thinks it should not be used
in the class.  Has anyone had a similar challenge?  She is questioning why
such a book would be chosen as a unit in a 5th grade class.  I have a lot of
info about Susan Cooper and the awards she has won for her other books --
but nothing specifically about The Boggart.  Thanks.
