Had a question from a principal regarding how to figure the price of library books for insurance purposes. They have the price of the individual books, but do not want to spend the time adding up all the individual prices. I can give him the average cost of books, but do any of you know of a way to find the value of a collection without adding up the individual prices. He would be interested in breaking it down by hardcover books, paperbacks, dictionaries, and encyclopedis, if possible. They are not automated and probably will not be in the near future. Thanks for any help you can give me. Joie Taylor Coordinator of Library Services ********************************* Columbus Public Schools Change is difficult, P.O. Box 947 even when you want it.
