GEN: Splitting the library - Thanks for the help

I want to thank all of you who responded to my cry for help in
fighting the idea of dividing up my middle school library to stock our
new middle school.  Thanks for reassuring me that this really was a
bad idea.  I sat down and did some figuring about what it might cost
in "woman" hours, how nothing would be ready in fall, what it might
cost to re-stock, etc.  So far the idea of splitting the collection is
just one school board member's idea and when the overall plans were
presented to the total board the question did not come up.  The plan
gets voted on next week so I guess things could still go awry.  But
you all gave me some good ideas and I prepared myself.  Now I can
prepare myself for other battles as we talk about reducing staff.
