England-Summer Study

I am considering a 6-credit Comparative Education and Overseas Fieldwork
class from Univerisity of Wisconsin-Whitewater in Summer 1997.  It would
include a 2-week school placement in the Lake District near Carlisle, a
1-week educational seminar at Dalkeith House near Edinburgh, a an additional
week on independent exploration.  I could "design-my-own" itinerary...visit
schools, libraries, etc.  Because I am and LMS at Darlington, WI, I am
thinking a visit to Darlington in County Durham..in Yorkshire.  Has anyone
out there done a similar study trip to England?  Any suggestions? Does
anyone know of any schools that offer similar summer programs to Great
Britain?  Does anyone know any URLs/Websites to help me plan?  TIA Sharon
