Dear LM NETTERS, I recently went into my principal for the yearly "budget talk" to find out what my dollar amount would be for this school year. Her response to me was "What do you need for this year"? She would like a dollar amount as to what the library "needs". Not what I'ld like. During our winter break I've been pondering what type of response to give. Any advice? I'm in a K-6 elementary school. Our school district has recommended that the principals give library's $3 for every full time student in the school. The library money comes from building budgets. I've received $2400 for reading support this year. Any help or ways in which I can address this situation would be greatly appreciated.
