I am a fifth-grade teacher. Our students do a lot of things with HyperStudio. One that we completed this year is a class stack of the solar system with small groups doing individual stacks for each planet or other segment of the solar system. We then combined the indiv. stacks HUGE storage memory needed. Also, we teach American history. Students have done projects on such things as the 13 colonies, battles of the Revolutionary War, explorers, etc. Another science project we just completed are stacks on diseases or problems associated with the system of the body we are studying (stroke for the circulatory system, ulcers for the digestive system, etc.) HyperStudio is one of our favorite tools. I think it is important to teach the students to choose tools for projects that are appropriate for the outcome they want. If they want something linear, a word processing and graphics program is probably fine. Use HyperStudio if you want something nonlinear. Hope this helps.
