Summer Whole Language Conference

Received notice of the following in my mail. Thought I'd share...

I also wanted to let you know about a whole language conference myself and
2 other teachers have organized for this summer.  The three of us have
such a love for children's literature and music, that we thought it would
be great to combine these passions with some fun.  So, we have organized a
whole language cruise to Bermuda, July 14-21st. It is called, "Classroom
Connection'96".  The ship, The Royal Majesty, will depart from Boston for
7 days.  Our speakers are:Gloria Houston (author), Patricia Reilly Giff
(author), Rick Charette (musician), Robert Munsch (author), Bruce &
Katherine Coville (author/illustrator), Paula Danziger (author), Red
Grammar (musician), and our keynote speaker is John Poeton (Whole Language
Specialist).  The cruise is $999.00, plus a conference fee of $100.  All
workshops are early morning, leaving the afternoon and evening free to
enjoy the ship & Bermuda.  It is sure to be an inspirational time!
