Peter,
I noticed the posting from Melissa Davis explaining how to post a hit using
PINE.  I use Eudora and thought some other subscribers might like to have a
description of how I post a hit using this program.  So, here goes.

1) Open up Eudora

2) Go to the applications menu (upper right corner on a Mac) which has the
Eudora icon.  Drag to the Finder.

3) Open up ClarisWorks - a new word processing document.

4) Move the new ClarisWorks document to the right, lower corner of the
desktop so that you can see your Eudora messages and the ClarisWorks
document at the same time.

5) Open the first message you would like to include in the hit.  Drag from
the Edit menu to "Select All."  Then drag from the Edit menu to "Copy."

6) Click on the ClarisWorks document to select it.

7)Drag from the Edit menu to "Paste."  The Eudora message will appear.

8) Keep repeating steps 5 through 7 until you have all of the messages you
would like to include in the hit copied into your ClarisWorks document.

9) Now you can work within your word processing program to add an
introduction to your hit, edit names out, or summarize the hits, depending
on how many and how long the messages you received were.

10)  When you are happy with the final version, go to the Edit menu and
drag to "Select All."  Go to the Edit menu and drag to "Copy."

11) Go back to Eudora and drag from the Message menu to "New Message."

12) Fill in the address to send to the whole list (LM_NET@LISTSERV.SYR.EDU)
and fill in your subject.

13) Drag from the Edit menu to "Paste."  Your complete hit will appear.

14) Click on "Send" and the whole list will receive your hit. (Depending on
your computer's amount of memory, you may need to close ClarisWorks before
you can send the hit).
